I agree with everything @Mrs. Twine: said.

I'd let her watch me go on the potty, buy a little potty seat so it's available for her to use if she wants, read potty books to her, and see if any of it spurs her interest.

We've been slowly heading that way for a few months (she's 20 months), and the biggest help was having her see her big cousin (whom she idolizes!) potty. Now she wants to all the time. She's not actually used it, but she enjoys sitting in the potty. Also, she prefers sitting on the actual potty to the little seat (also thanks to cousin).

we just bought a potty, just before LO's 2nd bday. she has seen the mini-toilet at daycare plenty too. we bought one that plays music if you go #1 which she is very excited about . . . she hasn't had a success at home yet but she loves to sit on it already. I'm not pushing it at all, so I'm hopeful it will just start happening by accident and it'll start to click.

It's a great age to get started. My biggest tips are don't pressure, lead by example (talk about it when you and other family members use the potty; what you are doing, and why), read books about it, have a potty of some sort available for her to explore and "use," and just go from there.

At that age we just bought a little potty for her to sit on when I was going to the bathroom with her diaper still on so she could get used to having it there.

My lo is 19 months, the doctor told us we could start introducing the potty. I thought she was a tad little still. Any tips?
