Yes!!! I kept hearing that it was totally normal. We just kept having her sit. And if she was busy playing we would make her sit. She seemed to like to have accidents while playing in her room. Now we're 2 months in and no accidents and she's back to her regular schedule.

@looch: was down from the dinner table 3 minutes and pooped her pants so I see that as a great theory and I'm going to try that!

My son sees a gastro for poop holding and she told me the best time to get a child to poop on the toilet is to put them on after every single meal. I imagine that this would work for potty training, but I've never tried it.

Bribery? It sometimes works. We're 6 months into training and he still mostly saves his poop for his pull up at night time.

When you first started potty training your LO, did they hold in their poop? LO is a 1-3 time a day pooper, and she hasn't pooped in almost 48 hours. We just started training her this weekend but I don't want her to keep holding it for too long and it hurt, and she become scared to go. I've been keeping her really hydrated and giving her fruits and orange juice which always makes her go.

Any tips on getting that first poop out of a potty training LO?
