I'm going with the no diapers unless sleeping approach. We will take her to the potty every half hour, lots of liquids first few days, and we will stay at home until she isn't having accidents. I'm a SAHM and this week is spring break for my 5 year old so we can stay home.

I potty trained my 19 month old with plenty of success (day and night). I think a lot depends on how dedicated you will be to the process as to how successful it will be. It took about 2 months for C to be totally potty trained (with rare accidents) but that was mostly because after a week and a half at home to jump start it, he went back to daycare and there weren't little potties in his toddler room. We used Jamie Glowacki's Oh Crap Potty Training approach so I knew going in this might take awhile, especially because he was in daycare and I was doing this before they were expecting potty training (our daycare starts to work with the kids around 2 to 2.5 years old in the next class up from where he was), and because he was on the younger side. I would do some research and see what speaks to you and when you find it, be totally dedicated to it. Good luck!

@CraftyMom13: I don't have many tips and tricks except to just go for it. She started around 18 months but daycare wasn't ready to keep up with it and neither were we so we waited until just after she was two. But now we are hitting all kinds of road blocks (she doesn't want to go, bribes don't work as well, and fear of poo). I wish we had stuck with it at 18 months.

I really want to potty train my 18 month old this week and I'm looking for tips. My DS has special needs and did not potty train until he was nearly 5. DD now 18 months is showing many of the readiness signs. She has successfully used the potty in the past with elimination communication but life got hectic and we stopped doing it. If you have successfully potty trained at 1 year what worked for you? Do you have any helpful tips/tricks?
