@regberadaisy: Our goal is just daytime... he is in diapers for night time. But he hadn't gone in awhile so I had him try before bed and it started the potty games. If he said he needed to go, I let him try but he never actually peed tonight.

I was so not prepared mentally for potty training and he really embraced it all of a sudden so we went with it. It started yesterday afternoon & evening and he actually woke up dry this morning (I'm not expecting that to continue).

He's just starting out and really only goes when he really has to if that makes sense. He won't really try or sit unless he really has to pee and it comes on quickly so I was trying to trust him that he would pee tonight but man all those trips were so annoying. I am mentally done tonight and just wanted a break from dealing with the potty training!

Are you training night time at the same time? I dealt with that completely separately. But yeah, the fake potty trips at bedtime are no fun! They stopped for a bit and are now back. I have to threaten to take whatever current fave item is for it to stop for the night!

Ugh! Today somehow became Day 1 of potty training and went really well... but now DS hasn't gone since 6:45 and keeps getting out of bed every 5 minutes to pee! Ugh!!! Tell me it gets better!
