I think it depends on the kid. We had this for DD1 and it was great. She used it in the beginning and then transitioned to a toilet seat ring. DD2 REFUSES to even sit on this and would only use the toilet seat ring.

To me I feel like you really can't go wrong and most of them does the job. I have a cheapie Ikea one downstairs that DD has gone in for both pee/poop, but she generally prefers to go upstairs and use the toilet seat ring.

@meadow: haha, yes I can see how that can be an issue. I'm fairly certain we'll end up with two pottys too... Mine are still too young as they cannot even walk yet so it'll be awhile before they'll be able to use the potty. Tell me how it goes especially if they don't train at the same time. So far my two are doing everything pretty much on the same time scale but I can see that potty training might be a little different...

I don't have experience with that specific seat, but we really like this potty seat because a) it has a lid to contain smells (meaning we don't have to empty it ever 20 minutes while she is figuring things out), and 2) it doubles as a step-stool for hand washing. Not as many color options, but it does come in blue and pink.

This is very similar to the summer infant loo which I love. The summer one is much cheaper.

@Pumuckl: i am fairly certain DD will potty train significantly before DS......but i want two so tgey can do the "lets sit on the potty" at the same time....also I'm sure it won't eliminate but I am hopefully having two potty chairs reduces the number of times they push eachother off fighting for the seat...hah

Feedback looks good...yay!! Gonna take the dive!!

If your kids are small it’s great. My son potty trained at 3.5 and on the bigger side, he was more comfortable using the seat that sits on the toilet.

We have the Bjorn trainer seats with clips that goes on the potty when not in use. (One for the downstairs bath and one for his bathroom) LO needs to be placed on the seat because the step stool we have is almost flush with the toilet. At daycare they train them on toilets so I wanted to be consistent at home. He loves pointing out the Bear.

We actually have the low-back version of this potty and have used it successfully with my first two. We'll probably be getting a second for when it is time to potty train the twins. Although I am inclinded to actually see if we can manage with just one potty first. We also have the Babybjorn toilet seat and that is by far the best that I could find https://www.buybuybaby.com/store/product/babybjorn-reg-toilet-trainer/5032731?brandId=441

I think I want to get two of these for my twins as we begin to contemplate potty training. DD is showing interest a little bit and I want to be ready.

Anyone have strong feelings against this potty? I was planning on a cheaper ($20) seat but the whole princess style was really eating at me fundamentally -haha. Then I found this one that comes in so many colors and doesn't have to be pink. I can buy in each twin's "assigned" color. Which is a bonus for them recognizing which potty is theirs.
