Bumping this thread! Just started with LO yesterday at 2yrs2mos and he only got a tiny bit in the potty. He would tell me uh-oh and show me the accidents on the floor. So far today he has just been holding it! I read Oh Crap PT and was excited to get started. Maybe I need to see how the next day or two go and then make a decision?

We just started training LO who is 25 months and I seriously thought we were going to be drop outs! Tons of pee accidents the first couple days and one really really nasty poop accident. At that point I just kept him totally pantsless until he got it. It has been a few weeks and he barely has any accidents now. So glad we stuck with it! Try going with out the undies and see if it helps. Good luck!

Yes. We started at 2yr3 months. She did pretty great at first but a month into it she lost any and all interest. So we went back to pull ups full time. They still took her at school during the day. Then we planned to do boot camp Labor Day weekend, right before she turned 2.5. But the week before she started telling us she needed to go again at time. So the weekend went way easier then we expected.

2.5 y/o daughter refused to potty train a couple months ago- we tried taking her diapers away, giving copious amounts of M&Ms, several kinds of potties and nothing. She would rather pee on the floor. She is now starting to tell me when she is peeing and pooping (not before though), so I think it might be time to try again.

I used to have sleepless nights and it cost me tons of diapers until my bff share with me her method. It makes potty training much more easier and fun with my son. It helped me save $ on diapers and time! Hope you can benefit from this video: http://bit.do/b7oxn

We waited two weeks. She was ready, she was just showing resistance. I read OCPT and it worked for us.

Yup. We started and stopped a few times (starting at 30 months I think?). He wasn't ready until a couple months after he turned three.

I'm also a dropout. DS is 25 months old and just doesn't seem to grasp it yet. He's barely talking so I'm not getting him to communicate much with me and it's becoming frustrating for everyone. Plus we moved 2 weeks ago and I'm 8 months pregnant and tired! We'll get back to it when he's talking more and I can stoop and bend more easily

Has anyone started the potty training process and then decided LO wasn't ready and went back to diapers?

We attempted potty training a few days ago (trained LO1 at the same age as LO2 is now), but after 2.5 days in underwear LO didn't use the potty once. She stayed dry at naps and bedtime but didn't use the potty at all...just the floor. DH and I agreed to go back to diapers and wait a few more months.

Has anyone else done this? How long did you wait between attempting to train and trying again a second time? She was showing signs of readiness but obviously she isn't ready quite yet!
