She was showing signs of readiness and was excited about it. I hate to make it stressful if it doesn't have to be! I recommend the 3 day method for a 2 year old. Personally, we did relaxed EC starting at 7 months. BUT, had we not done that, I'd do the 3 day method. We just tried again two weeks ago (5 months later) and it went as smooth as can be. </p> <p>It seems like a gamble to count on it. We potty trained our DD within that same timeframe by just following her lead plus some small motivation in the form of a sticker chart once she got the general idea. I have my eye on a Montessori school that will only accept kids that are potty trained. My son will be 4 and I need them to be in the same school for logistics reasons. My son potty trained pretty easily just shy of turning 3, but I hear girls are likely to do it earlier? Experiences? She is 19 months now and I have done nothing with her in the process. </p>
