@erinbaderin: Thanks! I guess I overestimated things and thought that would have been more during when we were training and not now.

One of those times I need to remind myself that 4 yo is still little...even though sometimes these kids make me feel like they are so big and grown!

I was discussing this with a paediatrician who did say that it’s totally normal and developmental - they’re just at an age where they’re too busy and don’t want to stop what they’re doing/they worry they might miss out on something. It doesn’t make it less frustrating, though!

No advice but my 5yo DS peed in front of the toilet twice in the last two weeks which is more frequently than normal for him. He's still having trouble listening to his signals while he's focused on playing. He has a very obvious (to us) potty dance but he doesn't get the signal (and refuses to listen to our comments) until about 10 minutes into his vigorous potty dance.

No answer here either, but my 4 year old DS is doing the same thing. He is wetting the bed more frequently, and he will randomly tell me his underwear are wet during the day. Maybe it’s just developmental, or they are too busy and distracted 🤷🏼‍♀️

@meadow: is it a long time since she’s gone last? At that age my lo started holding it cuz she was so busy playing. I would just do set reminders to go like we must go when we leave the house, get home from school etc

I don’t have an answer but my son is also 4.5 and he also has been having pretty regular accidents lately. He’ll come over to me and say “I have to pee. Also I already did.” I’m partially blaming it on a reaction to pandemic stress?

So my twins are 4.5. DD potty trained at 2yo and DS at 3yo.

Lately we have had issues with both kids but mainly DD having an accident inches from the toilet. Like standing in the bathroom close enough that she can touch the toilet but emptying her whole bladder b4 pulling down her pants.

Is a this a normal part of growing up? It seems super odd to me and the kids give me nothing when I try to figure it our.

In the last month we have been seeing these type of accidents 3 or so times per week.

The only "life change" was returning to daycare in Sept.
