I did it for a whole week, and he made a mess everywhere. Luckily he did poop in the potty twice but only because I rushed him on the potty when I saw he was trying to poo. Now he is totally traumatized. My daughter was on a similar timeline, and while it took a while to get to complete bathroom autonomy, she picked up on communicating pretty fast. He is 19 months old and is both night and day trained. It will be probably a month more before I'll feel comfortable saying he is fully potty trained. His limitations are being able to manipulate his own clothes and his communication (doesn't ask to go but does go when prompted) but those will work out over time. </p>
