We chose to wait until after our big move last year. I have zero desire to train twice.

I'd wait, but that's just me. I wasn't in a hurry to train anyway.

Go ahead and try with low expectations. LO finally figured out night times about a week before #2 was born. I fully expected a regression. We are down the road 4 months and still doing very well.

@oliviaoblivia: @purrpletulips: @birdofafeather: @sarac: Thanks guys. I think I will try do it in a very relaxed way, maybe just a few hours a day. She's currently practicing by putting undies on all her soft toys :silly:

If she is ready I say go for it. She might not have a regression.

My daughter trained very easily at that age. I'd say go for it, in a relaxed way, and then just expect a regression of some sort. Maybe you'll be surprised.

for it knowing that there will probably be a regression. Capitalize on her desire to do it!

I'd say go for it but expect the possibility of a regression. DD decided she was ready to be a big girl at 29m when DS was born. Prior to that she had shown interest but not really progress.

From what I know about A, she's totally ready. I think she'll pick it up quickly. :goodluck:

I think if you think she's ready then grab it by the horns and go for it! I was afraid too that she might regress when the baby arrived. But she didn't at all! So who knows, your daughter might do just fine.

DD is 28 months and showing readiness of potty training. I am keen to get her out of diapers before #2 arrives.

BUT, everything I hear says not to train around the time of a transition. We are likely moving back to the UK at the end of May and leaving everything she has ever known behind, which is a huge change. Then LO #2 is due July 10. I am worried these big changes in her life could cause regression.

Would you go ahead and train ASAP anyway? Or just suck it up and leave it until the new baby is here and she has adjusted?

Part of me thinks to train now and the otter part of me doesn't want to put her through the stress of doing this twice if she reacts badly to the imminent changes in her life.
