Happened last night when I was laying in bed (on my left side, mind you!) - almost like heart palpitations. I wasn't anxious/nervous/stressed. It felt like I couldn't catch my breath.

It happened to me early in the second trimester. I'd be sitting on the couch reading or watching TV, and I would get sudden, random heart palpitations! It freaked me out but after a couple of weeks the problem disappeared so I never told my doctor (I actually forgot) but it was scary when it was happening!

Mine would usually be from light exertion (walking up a flight of stairs), though when I turn and lay on my right side in bed I can feel and hear my heart pounding in my head. It's really annoying so I usually sleep on my left side!

My heart pounds when I get scared, walk up the stairs, etc.. I do remember my heart beating stronger when I was pregnant, but I don't remember if it would randomly pound while I was resting.. I swear, I used to have the best memory.. now everything's a blur!

It happened to me when I was pregnant. I ended up going to the doctor and getting tests done. I was on fioricet, which is tylenol and caffeine in it for my migraines. Once I got off of that I was fine. I'm glad I got it checked out though!

I had a really high heart rate pretty quickly into my pregnancy. They weren't concerned because it's a normal symptom of pregnancy. But it kept getting faster and faster over the weeks, so it concerned me. After my GD blood draw, though, they discovered I was anemic. Within a week of supplementing iron, my heart rate slowed down considerably. Not sure how far along you are, but you can develop anemia later on.

Has anyone else had this happen to them? I was just sitting here, not doing anything strenuous, and my heart started pounding. I've had it happen in the past (pre-pregnancy) but it normally only goes on for a second or two. This one went on for a bit longer than that and freaked me out a bit.

Has anyone else experienced this? I know your heart has to pump more blood for you and baby so, I'm chalking it up to that at this point. It's just odd to actually feel your heart pounding in your chest when you haven't been doing anything strenuous at all!
