@trixi: We have two and my 6 year old still fits in both of them with his sister. We have the Power Wheels brand Jeep and we also have the Power Wheels brand Ford Mustang GT. Despite being smaller, the Jeep fits two kids really well because it doesn't have doors so it is easier for people to climb in and out of. Our biggest criteria was to get ones that could go 5 mph. A lot of them can't go that fast.

We have this Chevy Silverado. I think the key is to get a 12V not a 6V if you want to use it for a long time with older/bigger kids. This is a nice 2 seater, plus we have put kids in the "bed" of the truck before. Maybe not the safest, but sure was fun for the kids LOL.

We have the Dune Racer as well. My 4 and 5 year old ride in it together and I’ve even taken it for a spin too.

My son has a Suburban one, he's going on 8 and is about 60 pounds and can still drive it with ease. He got it when he turned 5.

@Sams Mom OMG my son would love that! He's into monster trucks. But it does look a bit top heavy---if it were just a sidewalk I think it would be totally fine but we live in the country and he'd be riding up and down hills in the yard etc.

The biggest one I have seen is the Gravedigger Monster Truck, it's 24 volt so it can haul around heavier kids, it has 2 seats, but not sure about a hitch. I think this is what my parents want to get my son for his birthday next year.

It can carry 88 lbs and top speed is 5 MPH

Thinking of having my parents get 1 large thing for DS for Christmas instead of 100 little gifts. He used to have a ride on "4 wheeler" type power wheel but it broke this summer. I'm thinking a Jeep/Truck/Gator type motorized car or "power wheel" for him. But don't want him to grow out of too fast! He will be 4 in February.
Can anyone recommend any that are larger that would fit a 4-5 year old, preferably a two-seater so little sister can ride when she's big enough.. Even better if has a trunk or "trailer hookup".
