The museum pass has been awesome since we now feel free to go as often as we want, which is wonderful for rainy days. So some fun bath toys maybe.<br /> Books are always welcome in my experience.<br /> Wooden puzzles. </p> <p>A bigger gift (size wise so you may want to ask) is the Step2 Push Car. Many people transition from bottles (or BF'ing) to sippy cups around 1 year. You get foks/spoons, plates, bowls too. We bought it ourselves but that would have been a nice gift- but I knew exactly which one I wanted so you would have to ask. </p> <p>Outerwear is practical but still special my sister got dd a raincoat that she loved. Shoes are a little too specific unless they tell you what she needs/ wants. Thats an odd 1st bday gift. </p> <p>Clothing for sure. At that age, something fun like a swim suit, a rain jacket, things like that are fun. Shoes are hard because sizes range a ton. </p> <p>Books are great because they start being more gentle with books and really love to read. What size diapers do 1 year olds wear (I will probably size up a little so she can grow into them). What types of clothes should I focus on? Bottoms? Shoes? Hats? </p>
