@avivoca: great. (Well not great, but ya know, that's helpful information. ) Thank you.

@Mrs Green Grass: it could be. I get them occasionally & it could just be a coincidence that I'm also pregnant but I wanted to ask just in case

@sapphire: @Ms.Badger: @AprilFool: thank you ladies! I'll call to make sure tomorrow. I know blind spots are a pregnancy symptom but you're usually told that of they are followed by headaches it might be something more so I thought I would check.

I had an episode at 38 weeks with blind spots and a headache and after an afternoon in hospital they decided it was a migraine.

There are a lot of changes going on with your blood circulation right now in order to make a placenta and more blood and then your body has a whole new circuit it needs to pump blood through. So hopefully your symptoms are being brought on by these very significant changes and not anything scary. I would probably call the nurse's line to be sure though

Pre-e is not diagnosed prior to 20 weeks. Very possibly could be atypical migraine worsened by pregnancy, dehydration, etc.

So last pregnancy, I was diagnosed with pre-e at 38 weeks & induced. I had been complaining of headaches & blind spots since about 25 weeks but never conconsistently had high blood pressure until the last few weeks. They did a 24 hour urine test for protien &actually originally I was told that I peed too much & they couldn't tell if there was protien in my urine or not. Later they came back & said there was.

I am currently 9 weeks pregnant & the blind spots started pretty much immediately. Today though, I had a blind spot last 30 minutes (like the were at 25 weeks on with LO #1) followed by a huge headaches (that I'm still feeling). My question is, can you get pre-e this early? Is this something else? I occasionally get blind spots followed by migraines maybe 3 times a year (it's hereditary), but nothing compared to the intensity & frequency when I'm pregnant.
