The public schools option was only 2.5 hours a day, so that was the main reason why we went private as they offer an extended program to stay for lunch. While our elementary school is great, we have heard the pre-k program isn't that great due to a lot of Spanish speaking kids in the classes. They don't offer the ESOL program till kindergarten. We are deciding between public pre-k (at his eventual elementary school) and keeping him for a last year at his private preschool which has a good pre-K too. Did you LO attend pre-K? Or will yours? Did/Will you do public or private? What influenced your decision? </p>
