@Shimmer: I can't even imagine what you and other twin mamas are going through/have gone through! I bet you and your DH will have your uncertain moments at opposite times, and that you'll be a great team together! My DH is always the strong one, too, but in the rare moments when he is not 100%, I find myself stepping up because that's what he does for me.

@Oceanis723: Thank you! I really appreciate it. I feel like I've done everything I can to "prepare" for them all the while knowing that you can never truly be prepared! Transitioning a home and a marriage from zero kids to two kids instantly seems as daunting to me as having the two kids!

I'm part of a Moms of Multiples group in my area, so I can't wait until I get assigned a "Big Sister" to help out too.

I think if someone described to me in huge detail what misery I'm going to go through, I'd be okay with it because at least I'd know what to expect! It's the unknown that's killing me!

Haha I guess I needed to get that out - again, thank you! :)

I'm here for you, twins are not easy and your jitters are normal. You can do it though, you will learn how to take care of both of them. The early days are the hardest but trust me it gets easier as you go along. You can do it and if you have any twin questions let me know, I can try and help.

So as of right now, I have a max of 17 days until I meet my sons! I have to admit, I'm TOTALLY freaked out by that notion! It's 2 am here and the thought keeps rolling through my mind, so it's obviously one of the reasons I can't sleep right now. I've been anxious about the boys' arrival and infancy for quite a while now, but DH is now nervous too and normally he's the cool, calm, and collected one. Having both of us freaking out hasn't been the greatest feeling!

I think one of the things on my mind is how uncertain everyone is regarding the labor and delivery of these boys. Sure, I have a list of "birth preferences", but that can so easily go out the window. I'm a Type A girl who always has a plan and then a few back up plans. These boys are the first thing that have really kept me from having a true plan in place! It's going to take some getting used to!

And don't get me started on the care of TWO newborns! lol

How do you get past these jittery feelings? Or do you just embrace them and hang on for the ride?
