@JoJoGirl: it's an herbal supplement. There's tons of articles about it of you google it, but I'm on the phone do I'm just linking to the first one that popped up:) for anyone thinking of using it, you CANNOT use it while taking clomid- they will counteract one another, but you may hear it called 'nature's clomid'

Thanks everyone. Maybe it is just being off BC too - this is cycle 4 off.

Maybe! My skin was the same after going off BC, pre taking prenatals. I only started prenatals after getting pregnant both times and my skin is awful. I always just blamed it on being pregnant. My skin also sucked pp and maybe it was because I was still taking prenatals for breastfeeding. Hmmmm. Well, if anyone has any tips I would like to know as well since my skin is horrible again.

i'm not sure i'd blame the prenatals. i think it's just coming off BC. mine wasn't bad the first cycle off but by cycle 2 & 3 (i wasn't taking prenatals then, so i can't blame them), it was BAAAAAAD! i took vitex to try to balance my hormones/help with my cycle before, and a very nice side effect is that because it's balancing out your hormones, hormonal breakouts improve significantly! that reminds me, i should start taking it again=)

I didn't notice any increases when I started prenatals. I have really oil hair but it seems the same to me. This is my 3rd cycle off BC and this is the one that I have noticed a huge increase in breakouts. I told DH our future kid better be cute since I am walking around looking like a 13 yr old with breakouts all over.

I don't have any advice but I know what you are going through!!

Long story short: I got my hair done professionally for my brother's wedding a few weeks ago and my hairdresser asked if I'm taking pre-natals because my scalp is so oily!! (I'm TTC, so... no belly as a giveaway). She made me go shower again because it was so bad. I noticed my hair had been a bit oilier than usual, but figured it was from going off the pill, and she said no - it's the folic acid. Go figure.

This leads to my question: I basically have adult-onset acne since both going off the pill and starting pre-natals. It's AWFUL and have had perfect skin for the 10 years I was on it. I'm so embarrassed. I'm trying all kinds of new anti-oil soaps and even putting neosporin on all my zits at night (they're just tiny infections, right?), but it's not really helping and is getting worse.

Has anyone noticed, or more importantly, FIXED this? Any suggestions??

Thanks in advance :-)
