We started with part time (5 days a week/half days) and just recently started sending him full time. He LOVES it. I'm sure your LO will love it too. If you don't feel comfortable sending full time right away, part time would work too. One option is part time until holiday break and then switch to full time. My daughter has been in full time daycare since 6 months so I can't say for her. But she's also 2.5 yo now and I've seen kids start full time recently with no issues. We're still debating on whether to enroll him full-time (5 days a week) or part-time (2-3 days a week). Since he'll only be 2.5 years old, I'm not sure if he's ready to be away everyday. I'm sure he'll get used to it, and probably enjoy all the playtime, but right now, he keeps looking for me and yells "mama" if I'm away for a few minutes.
