I put her in socks with rubber on the bottom. Or the Robeez knockoff type shoes from Target. I didn't put hard soled shoes on her till she was really walking.

LO was mainly barefoot, he only recently started wearing socks with rubber soles on the bottom since its colder now.

@JerricaBenton: @SugarplumsMom: Ooh! I'm going to look for these! I think I have seen them at H&M!

@SugarplumsMom: Cute! Those booties seem better - I could see LO kicking off the top ones so fast.

OK. I am shopping for more Robeez anyway. She's kind of in between sizes so I've been hesitant to buy anymore. 0-6 fit just about perfect and okay with socks even. But the 6-12 is so much bigger, she just flings them off.

@edelweiss: She slips all around even though socks have the rubber things. I think because she is trying to tip-toe all the time. Maybe in a few weeks she'll be falling less.

@blackbird: Do you put LO in shoes ever? I have a couple pairs but she doesn't like them. And she is only cruising half the time. I don't think shoes are necessary for when she just pulls up.

Barefoot or socks with grippers. We keep our house at 70 degrees so I don't feel like she's very cold

Socks did not work for us when lo was crawling/starting to cruise--we did bare feet. If it had been the winter I would have used socks under robeez.

we have just been using old navy or carter socks with the little grippers on the bottom. it is hard when they just begin to pull to stand because they are so wobbly, but in a couple of weeks i bet she'll be standing like a champ.

We have all hardwood floors and so does day care. So R is learning on them, aside from when she is on our living room rug. We don't really put her in shoes. I find that she is fine with the Trumpette socks since they have the gribbers on the bottom.

I found these Kitz-Pichler wool slippers on ZulilyUK today. I've never heard of the brand before, but they look so cozy! I'm debating if they'll be overkill - DD's fine with socks, moccasins, or Robeez over socks. But most of the time, she refuses to wear anything anyway.

Socks with traction, Robeez type shoes (I think they were from Target), and Swedish moccasins. The moccasins have a leather sole and is a thick sock all around. We got her current ones from H&M, but I noticed that the quality differs. The one we have is really thick and durable. The current ones I've seen (here) are thin.

I got LO a few pairs of those slipper socks with solid (leather-like?)bottoms to wear in the hour. I got them at h&m but I think they have the ones with the bumpy rubber bottom at target too.

J is usually barefoot (but he doesn't pull to stand or anything so the soles of his feet don't touch the ground much), or if it's really cold I'll put trumpette socks on him. At night before bedtime, i'll put him in footed sleepers. Robeez are great for pre-walkers!

If you have hardwood or tiled floors, and an early or pre-walker in the winter, what did you do about cold feet?

Socks are problematic on our slippery hardwood. I know pre-walkers should really learn to walk barefoot, but even with the heat on, LO's feet are cold. She is just crawling and pulling up to stand on everything! Slipped and fell more times than I could count today.

Did you use Robeez or something else inside? Or did you just let LO go barefoot? I've been putting her in footed pjs with rubber bottom things.
