Congratulations!</p> <p>I was 8 weeks pregnant NYE, and I didn't want to go to any of our friends' parties which all involved copious amounts of booze that I would have to somehow pretend to drink (since we hadn't told any of our friends yet). We ended up going to see Hairspray at a localish theater and then staying at DH's aunt's cabin on the Chesapeake Bay. Nice and calm and low-key.</p> <p>Then New Year's Day we went sailing with BIL--my first time sailing, it was during a race, with super high winds. I'm amazed I didn't yak all over everyone. DH doesn't enjoy going out just the two of us (shame coz I love it) - he says he'd rather stay at home unless there's a group of us.
