I gained 30 lbs with my first, and when I got pregnant at 13 months postpartum with my 2nd baby, I could fit my pre-pregnancy clothes, but they weren't flattering and I wouldn't wear them in public. I was still about 10 lbs up from pre preg, too. I only gained 18 lbs with my second, but delivered at close to the same weight as the first time around, and now at 13 months pp, I'm wearing my old jeans comfortably. My body is different now than it was pre-kids: bigger boobs, softer tummy, wider hips, a couple of stretch marks, but I think that just comes with the territory of motherhood. I'm pretty close to where I was before kids, and I haven't done anything to get here except be patient and kind to my body. I fully expected at least a year, and it happened. I really think being kind to yourself, and trying to be patient even though it's hard, are the best ways to do it. (Also, chasing around more than 1 LO burns WAY more calories :silly: .)

I'm pregnant with twins this time around and the effect on my body has obviously been worse. I'm kind of concerned how my body is going to handle going back to normal this time. I also didn't get belly stretch marks last time but this time I have tons. It's vain but I do want to look like my previous self again when it's all over. But it's not easy and I'll likely have to work harder on it this time around as I've heard the second time you don't bounce back as quickly. If there's any advice I can offer, it's just that so many women have been there or are there and we need to support each other.

I don't know where to post this but I'm hoping I'm not the only one struggling! I'm only 4'11, so I've ranged my whole life between tiny and chubby, but over the last 5-10 years had really gotten into fitness and felt great about where I was.

During pregnancy #1 I felt like a goddess! I was the cutest pregnant lady ever and partly due to my insatiable ice/water cravings, the hottest summer ever, and delivering early I only gained about 20 lbs. Unfortunately I only lost about 10lbs and struggled with the rest and so started this pregnancy a bit higher.

And THEN this pregnancy has been so much rougher and I've gained almost 20lbs at 24 weeks! I have never felt so uncomfortable in my own body and am feeling really self-conscious. I don't know how to handle these feelings! I'm feeling like I don't even want to get dressed in the mornings because it's so depressing. My old preg clothes are too tight and I hate going up in the sizes even though I know it's stupid.

This is so not me and I don't know what to do! I'm also terrified of gaining so much more weight that I will never be able to lose it :s

Anyone have happy stories where they lost all the weight faster after baby2 even though they gained more?! lol.
