@mrs.inkspot: I had a gush of bleeding soon after I found out I was pregnant too, along with clots. Doctor said it was implantation bleeding. Now I have a healthy 8 month old! Sending happy thoughts your way!!!

New Update: I ended up having my first u/s on Friday. I thought I was about 5 weeks along by then but I'm not sure on any of my dates. She couldn't see a sac or anything on the ultrasound, but did confirm my lining was pregnancy thick.

At that point, given my low and Betas and the u/s results it was likely to be one of 3 possible situations:
A chemical pregnancy, ectopic, or just very early in a normal pregnancy. They took another Beta and she booked me for a follow up u/s today. At this point both of my arms are bruised from all of the blood tests. Ugh

Then last night I felt some cramping and a gush. I want to the bathroom and saw red bleeding with some clots. I thought it was the beginning of the end for this baby. I went to bed and cried myself to sleep.

Well today I had my 2nd u/s and to my surprise, they found a sac measuring at 4 weeks 4 days! That explains my low Betas and the u/s results from Friday. The weird thing is it means my first BFP was at 7 DPO which I didn't think was possible. Of course I didn't think you could get a BFP with such a low Beta either, so who knows.

The bleeding stopped about an hour after it started which the dr said was a good sign. So now I'm back to being cautiously optimistic about this little bean sticking around. My next u/s is in 2 weeks where I hope to see a heartbeat.

Good luck! Hopefully everything will be just fine on the ultrasound.

And yes, you can get pregnant that soon after MC. I got pregnant again about 6 weeks after MC--we weren't actively trying, and I was wondering if AF would ever come again. I'm 14 weeks now, and so far so good.

I wanted to give a quick update on how this pregnancy is coming along. Since I last posted, I had 4 additional HCG tests. The results of my 4th Test were not good. They look for your reading to double every 2-3 days but in my case it only rose 35%. A slow rise like that usually indicates a pending miscarriage. On top of the bad test result I started spotting that night. I was pretty sure it was the start of another miscarriage.

The spotting has all but stopped and I had my final HCG test yesterday. I can't believe it but the number quadrupled! (I took this test 4 days after my last one). I'm not out of the woods yet but this little baby still has a chance. I have my first ultrasound on Monday so they can date the pregnancy and see if everything is on track. Until then all I can do is wait and think positively.

Thank you so much ladies. Well my beta came back and it was 6.5. That is a positive, but about as low as it can be and still considered a positive. I go back on Monday to get another beta. Eek.

My doctor said that it would be a good idea to wait a cycle, but he wasn't overly concerned about it. I think the only reason he said to wait is to let your body bounce back a little.

My SIL's sister had a MC before she would get a sticky baby, every time. It was always the next cycle that she got a sticky one. She has 3 healthy kids, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Good Luck!! And definitely keep us updated!!

I think I got the faintest of BFPs this morning. The thing is that I had a MC about 5 weeks ago. It was a "natural" MC and I was monitored until my HCG returned to zero. I went in for Beta this morning to see if my faint line is legit and I'm anxiously waiting to hear back from the doctor.

Has this happened to any of you or anyone you know of? Do you know if there additional risks with concieving so soon after a MC?
