@Smurfette: Oh, that's lucky your first appointment is so early, even though they won't be doing an ultrasound. Mine isn't for a couple weeks still, but it's the same thing. They told me it was just going over medical history and any questions and that I didn't need to bring my husband. I'm looking forward to it, but I mostly can't wait to hear the heartbeat!

@Adira: I go to the doctor next week, but I think it is mostly for paperwork. She told at my annual in Feb that the first appointment is nothing, so I don't need to bring my DH. She told me that the ultrasound will be between 8-9 weeks. Seems to far away :( It still doesn't feel real to me, so I am hoping the doctor's visit will help, even if no ultrasound.

@Smurfette: haha, I felt the same way until it got here! Now I wish it held off a little longer! Plus I'm STILL nervous!!! I just want to be able to hear the heartbeat and then I think I'll calm down, but I have to wait 3 more weeks for that!

@Adira: I am actually looking forward to it. I think that it will make me feel better that something is going on in there. I am so nervous!

@Smurfette: haha, yep, just started last night. I've been avoiding most foods except juice, gingerale, and carbs! I don't know how I'm supposed to get veggies in when the thought of eating them makes me sick!

@photojane: I think that's what ALWAYS confused me! I'm 6 weeks pregnant, but I've only really been pregnant for 4 of them, haha! So the weeks are so confusing!

@Adira: ha yeah! she wasn't actually pregnant for a couple weeks, but in medical terms, she was in her first week of pregnancy, so we'll count it! :)

@photojane: haha, technically in her first week, she was still waiting to ovulate! The pregnancy weeks can be so confusing!

@highwire: Yes! That's how I think of it too! How many weeks have you completed is how many weeks pregnant you are.

I think of it as how many weeks I've completed. 20 entire weeks have passed, I'm 20 weeks pregnant, but I'm in my 21st week currently.

haha... i know! if you think about it as working towards the next weekly milestone it makes more sense. when you were 2 days pregnant, you weren't a week pregnant yet, but you were in your first week of pregnancy.

I am confused as to figure out how far along I am. My last period was June 10th, so does that mean this past Sunday was 4 weeks? So when reading books and apps, do I read the information for 4 or 5 weeks?

I want to start a journal by week, so I am not sure what to number this week.
