Ooh, thought of another one. Take a photo of hubby and wife standing a few feet apart against a brick (or other outdoor) wall. Write in chalk between the hubby and wife +, and then on the other side of the wife = 3.
So it would be (Hubby + Wife = 3).

I like the idea that one bee had on another thread. Set the family up for family pics and take one telling everybody to say cheese, and then a second telling everybody to say "So-and-so's pregnant" and they'll get everybody's expressions!

Thanks so much for the ideas ladies! I think she'll love the family feet idea - she loves shoes as much as I do. So many cute ways to announce :-)

We wanted to give out pink and blue cigars or candy cigars and tell the recipients they'd know which one to use on Feb 24th... but DH couldn't wait long enough to tell people, and we told right away!.

We wanted to do this but weren't able to because it was Christmas Eve morning and we were too excited and just wanted to tell everyone .... but .... the idea we had was to put some hamburger buns in the oven and turn it on ... and then have someone check "what is in the oven??" then they will be like "why are there buns in the oven?" and she can say, "OH wrong oven, there is a bun in MY oven!!!" Sorry if that makes no sense. I'm tired :)

We are giving my parents a stuffed stork that says special delivery on the blanket that's holding a baby (teddy bear). I love the idea of having them unwrap a gift!!

A couple ideas we've thought of using -
Taking a photo of you and your hubby by a road sign "Bump Ahead", you could use it for a card or get it printed and framed.

Taking a photo of you and your hubby's feet in line with some baby shoes, with the caption "Our family is expanding... by two feet!"

they could always get cute grandparent presents, have them wrapped, and do an early present when they first arrive - like a "world's best grandpa" mug or something - or an ornament with baby shoes! something that would clearly get the point across ha

she could always just say that she's really excited about the gift and wants them to open it early

Friends of ours came over for dinner last night with a bottle of sparkling apple cider and an exciting announcement - B is 7 weeks pregnant! I'm so excited they shared with us before family and everyone else. They're going home for Christmas and B asked if I had any fun ideas for announcing it. (She knows I'm involved in blogs/chat boards and that I know a lot of mommies through that)

They are going home the week before Christmas and have to leave right on Christmas Day, so they don't want to wait to share the news until present opening - they want to tell everyone right away when they get there. Do you guys have any fun ideas about how to announce? I know they could frame and u/s picture or get tshirts, but do you have any other, unique ideas?
