I get nervous about buying anything for the baby before the 2nd trimester, so when my SIL told me early on, I sent her stuff for her, like nice belly cream (Mama Mio) and a GC to Destination Maternity for later on. I would send the baby stuff later, but I'm just too superstitious or nervous or something. What if you did something like belly cream for the mom, the Baby Bargain book (perhaps with some things highlight that you couldn't life without!), and a cute onsie or bib? </p> <p>Or even those patches that say "1 month" "2 month" that you put on the onsies to take monthly pictures of the baby. I've seen those on babysteals.
