I am...

I lose my thought and/or words in the middle of a sentence. It's very embarassing when it happens at work.

And just last week I went to Target and left my purse in the changing room. I walked around the entire store and I only realized it when I went to checkout I didn't have my wallet. The teenaged checkout boy must have thought I was crazy. I was standing there trying to say I couldn't find my purse but I couldn't form the sentence and the words wouldn't come out. Luckily, it was still in the changing room when I finally figured out where I could've left it.

I have a bad habit of trailing off mid-sentence....

...and completely forgetting I was even talking, leaving DH (or whoever) staring at me expectantly. They've learned to prompt me, though.

My other big problem has been putting things away in weird places. I'm notorious for putting milk away in the cupboard, and just yesterday I found a bottle of Febreeze in the fridge.

OH YES!! Since I started the second trimester, I am a scatterbrain! I have to write everything down in order to remember anything! It's so bad lately!

Definitely! It's really bad this time around too. Last time it didn't really hit until second tri, but this time it hit right away. I feel like such an airhead but it did finally go away when LO was about 5 months. Something to look forward to?

YES! Omg it takes me a lot longer to recall things that used to be second nature to me. It is so so annoying. I've found that I just have to try harder to commit things to memory now instead of just relying on my brain to remember everything with one glance.

@lydg: Yeah I think I'm going to just try and slow down and focus on one thing at a time.

I think it is the WORST right now, and I didn't think it could get worse. I can't remember my ATM pin to save my life! Never been a problem, ever...but I can't get cash out and it is really annoying. I feel like I have to double check everything to make sure I don't forget stuff/screw it up.

*raises hand* Me!

I definitely feel like I am struggling mentally, and have been from the beginning (I am 32.5 weeks). I haven't made more mistakes, but everything takes me so.much.longer(!!!) than pre-pg, and maintaining focus is a constant challenge. I don't have any advice about how to make it better, but I definitely wanted you to know you are not alone.

Alright, who has this? I don't know what the deal is, but I'm messing up at work a lot more than I used to. I don't know if it is "pregnancy brain" or just being distracted or what. I'd like to fix it. Did anyone feel like they were struggling mentally during pregnancy and managed to turn things around?
