Crazy stuff here!

Last night I had a bad pregnancy dream - I had a cute little boy newborn and didn't know what to do with him. I forgot to change his diapers the first day and he wouldn't eat anything. It was like I had forgotten everything I'd read about how to care for a newborn : (

@geekinheels my sister-in-law did, for us. 2 days after we found out I was pregnant, my husband went to help her move & she'd had a dream the night before that I was pregnant. pretty crazy stuff.

I had a dream the night before I found out I was pregnant, about taking a pregnancy test and it was positive. I hadn't planned to take a test that day, but the dream was so realistic I couldn't shake it and I had to take one.

@GeekInHeels I didn't, but my husband did. I don't know the details, but when I got my BFP he said he already knew because in a dream his dead parents and sister told him I was pregnant.

I can't recall any specific dreams off the top of my head, but I do know that my dreams tend to be a lot more vivid when I am pregnant.

Going slightly off-tangent, has anyone had conception dreams? Koreans believe in conception dreams and while I haven't had any (or I can't remember), my parents did! I wrote about it in my blog a couple of years ago: http://www.geekinheels.com/2009/09/03/conception-dreams.html

I have two I remember vividly from when I was pregnant with my daughter- in the first one, I gave birth to her and she was really small (like the size of my hand) and I kept misplacing her. At the end of the dream, I had forgotten all about her and found a little mummified baby in a drawer of my dresser and was like, "Oh yeah, I forgot I had that baby! Oops!" It was really bizarre (but not that scary since the baby just looked like this little baby doll my sister had when I was little.) In the dream I just thought it was odd that no one else had reminded me of the baby.

Another one I had a normal sized baby, but it was a boy instead of a girl (this was after I'd had my sonogram confirming she was a girl). The labor and delivery was really easy and my sister came to visit me and I was like, "Yup, here's the baby." Then my sister started acting bored, so I was like, "Let's all go to the bar!" So I took my hour old baby to the bar.

In retrospect, I think my dreams were just about me being worried about being too irresponsible to be a mom. I was horrified when I woke up from them, but they are pretty funny to look back on!

I'm sure I have frequent dreams but the 3 that are most memorable during my pregnancy so far (21 weeks) are ones filled with anger and rage....to the point where in my dreams I'm screaming/yelling at someone but it comes out in whispers in real life. I find myself waking up because I'm whispering so forcefully....kinda freaky huh?

I just had my 20 wk sono on monday & had nightmares the 3 nights before that - in 1 I'd miscarried & didn't realize it & the baby was just... dangling... by his cord - in another one of my husband's hunting buddies shot me through the belly with an arrow & I was fine, but I just kept telling him that he'd better have missed the baby! because if he'd hurt the baby, I was going to have to kill him - & I can't remember the night before the sono b/c I slept so badly, but I know that any dreams that I had were bad. Can you tell I was worried? ha.

I had a dream that I had just given birth to a baby boy (it's always a boy in my dreams). And for some reason, I was the last to see him. I walked into the room full of my family and friends and the nurse handed me my son to breastfeed, and he was seriously the size of like a 4 year old. I couldn't even hold him so I could feed him! It was so weird! I hope it doesn't mean I'm going to have a huge baby!

LOL. Last night I had a dream that I ate TWO undercooked hotdogs in contravention of all of the rules. Then I panicked! I have a lot of food-related dreams. Mostly that I have eaten WAY too much or something that I should not have.

I was about to start a thread on this! I have had two very vivid pregnancy dreams with the same theme running through them. In one, they changed my due date to five weeks earlier because my little guy was growing ahead of schedule and just last night I dreamed that I was being induced 5 weeks early because I was "ready". I have some friends who have given birth 4 weeks or more before their due date (all the babies are okay), so is that where this worry is coming from?

I dreamt last night that my breasts had inflated to (even more) ginormous proportions. It was like I was in water and they were floaties that I was trying to control/push down. They were also striped with giant red stretch marks.
I attribute this dream to the fact that my husband asked me earlier in the day what would happen if my boobs just kept getting bigger and bigger to the point that they were totally unmanageable. I told him I'd just be screwed until after the baby came.

What's your weirdest pregnancy dream? Did it get inspired from something real or just appear out of no where?
