@Pollywog: @greencraftycello: Ah, thanks. A few coworkers know now. Holding out to 8 week (Christmas) to tell family.

@Chuckles: Yes! I work with a developmental preschool. Some littles are aggressive, but with those kiddos I have the extended day teacher with us. It not generally for support but more how can they continue communication strategies when I’m not working with students. Thanks!

Had our last baby at the very beginning of COVID, but if I were pregnant now, I would probably tell people early because of safety concerns.

Also, congratulations!

This isn't because of covid, but I work with students with disabilities who can be very aggressive. I always tell my coworkers and supervisor very early, way earlier than I'd normally be comfortable with, due to safety concerns. It seems like kind of a similar issue.

Yep. I view pregnancy as need to know information. If they need to know to protect your health and the health of your students, tell them. My husband's office knew long before my parents, his parents, or my office. They needed to know to minimize our risk

Hello! I was here back in 2016/2017 for my first DS, just found out we’re expecting baby 2 in August! I’m five weeks and extremely nauseous this round. I am also working full time in person in a school with preschoolers. I will be getting permission to work from home after break since we don’t know how COVID affects pregnancy and/or babes.

My question is: I vomited at work Thursday and the occupational therapist I work with (also friend, was my sons OT for EI) saw 🥴. She obviously knows and gowned up to take care of me, but I also needed to tell the nurse.

My mom doesn’t even know. If you’re pregnant, did you tell people earlier because of COVID?
