Thanks for all the suggestions ladies! I'm feeling a little better today. I'm actually starting to think it may be sinus pressure... so I think I'm going to try taking sudafed (which is doctor approved).

I got some too, I heard they are from all the hormones. I got through it, but I know a lot of people found drinking coke worked!

I've had migraines and headaches for years. What helped me was when my doctor started me on a supplement of 1000mg of magnesium a day. It cut my migraines way back (from missing work once a month to missing work once every 4-5 months). My OB approved continuing the supplement during pregnancy, so maybe check with yours about it. My OB also offered fioricet if my migraines get bad again during pregnancy. At 7 weeks, so far so good, but I am feeling more and more headachy as the pregnancy progresses. I'm hoping it doesn't get to full-blown migraine territory.

Good luck to you! Chronic headaches are the WORST.

If Tylenol doesn't work for me, I have to lay in complete darkness and silence with cold compressions, also I have to drink water (not ice water as that makes them worse for me) and eventually will have my DH rub my temples to help release some of the tension. Hope one of these works!

I had headaches but tylenol always worked OK, even when I thought I was going to die (seriously, I don't get a lot of headaches so I was certain it was an aneurism or something). A friend was actually prescribed a narcotic for her headaches in pregnancy. So, you should ask your doctor!

Yes, I've had some horrible headaches while pregnant. I had one really bad one for a week straight. I've found a little caffeine helps a lot.

The entire first trimester I had horrible headaches, and they went into the second trimester a bit too. My doctor suggested Magnesium as a supplement to try and help and that headaches could be very common with pregnancy. Luckily I outgrew them. Sorry you're going through this - it's not fun at all.

when i first found out i was PG, i had the worst headaches i ever had in my life! nothing helped either. someone gave me some origins peppermint on the spot relief and it did help but not eliminate. i would rub it on my temples and it did alleviate some of the pain.

I second the rec for fioricet if Tylenol isn't cutting it. In the meantime, try lying down with a bag of ice under your neck.

I got migraines, but I have had them my whole life. They just came more during pregnancy. You can ask your doctor for fioricet. I got massages which helped a lot. Also peppermint oil. Good luck and hope you feel better soon!

Are you / did you deal with terrible headaches during pregnancy? How did you cope? I've had a terrible headache ALL day. Tylenol does nothing. A cold compress only helps mildly. It's so bad I'm getting nausea from the pain.
