I love the smell of lavender (hence my un!), Crabtree and Evelyn makes a great lavender scented hand cream. Also, have you tried a white noise machine for yourself? Worked for me.

A friend swears by this Arbonne Essentials Sleep Well Spray. My OB says Tylenol PM and Unisom are safe to take.

@locavore_mama: I use therapeutic grade oils, the scents don't bug me but I can't stand most scented stuff like Bath & Body Works :-( they give me horrible headaches and nausea. I also do Epsom salt baths with a few drops of lavender and it's heaven. Lavender is supposed to be very calming and relaxing. I actually use it for tons of stuff...cuts, burns, bites, etc.

I had it horrible with T. Wouldn't fall asleep til 3 am and had to get up for work at 7. So, I took unisom. It helped me fall asleep better though I did still get up to pee frequently. Nothing else worked. I tried reading, teas, showering before bed etc.

@emg86: @jojepie: ooh lavender. Is the scent strong?

Scented lotions etc generally give me horrible headaches. I wonder if I can try a lavender scented warmer or incense.

How do you deal with pregnancy insomnia?

I am getting, maybe, 2 nights of decent sleep a week if I'm lucky.

Either it takes me hours to fall asleep or I can't get continuous sleep due to pee breaks and/or the dog waking me up.

Most nights I can't fall asleep till 11pm or some nights till 1/130am. Last night I was dead tired but could not fall asleep till almost 1:30am.

It's 1:20p now and I'm struggling to keep my eyes open at work.

Any tips?
