I started a Tumblr (blogging) as soon as my morning sickness was over (week 17). You can set your Tumblr private if privacy is an issue :)

@Meggo5: I have the same book! And I fall behind, too... I like having a hard copy/real book vs. blogging (just my own taste)-- plus, I know I would be even more behind if I had to blog about stuff. I feel like I need to write more when I'm blogging instead of just jotting down "OB appt today. Heart rate was 145bpm."

I did an electronic journal, just using my word processing program. I plan on making it into a photo book with pregnancy progress pics, ultrasound pics, general pictures we took throughout the pregnancy and such.

@banana: I think if it is ongoing then online is definitely easier but I only did it during pregnancy and for a few months after DD was born.

@andrea: I love paper too! :) It just seems easier to type and upload photos than to write and print out pictures, so I wasn't sure of which way to go!

@banana: oh ya, my hand writing has gotten so poor but it is legible! Hehe. No, I didn't really take bump pictures. But I did do a maternity shoot and I have the photos in a really nice bound leather book so DD will get that, too. I have my sonograms in her baby book. As you can see, I like paper!

@andrea: I'd love to do a handwritten journal but I hate my handwriting and end up hating the way it looks! haha. Do you also print pictures out and put them in your journal?

I did a hand written journal. I feel like it will stand the test of time and I can hand it down to my DD. A blog out in cyberspace doesn't have the same feel to me. I am old fashioned!

I started a journal when we found out we were pregnant. It wasn't something that I wrote in everyday, just when the moment struck. She's a month old, and I have only written in it once since the birth. My Mom had a journal for me that she gave to me at my baby shower. Hers also had notes on labor and delivery which I thought was really interesting. I plan on writing in it until she's an adult and then give it to her someday!

I did a handwritten journal written to LO to give her someday, and I also blogged. I'm still keeping up with both now after pregnancy, and I already really love to go back and read about being pregnant. It makes me miss it :(

Blogging was my way of documenting my pregnancy. While I love writing, I can type faster and would express myself better.

I am generally not great at Journaling, but felt like I wanted to take this on at the beginning of pregnancy do that I could look back in the future and see how I was feeling and what was going on for me during the various stages of my pregnancy (this is #1).

I debated between going electronic or paper and pencil and in the end, the old fashioned way won out. I have been using THE PREGNANCY JOURNAL (Harris) and like that I can learn about that day's changes and also write a few notes about how I'm feeling. I find, however, that I fall a few weeks behind between picking it up and spend a lot of time catching up with back-posts.

I almost wish that I had gone electronic and then printed it out/had a book made in the end so that I could incorporate pictures and other images. Perhaps I will translate the hard copy at some point down the line.

What, if anything, have to used to document this pregnancy?
