Everyone knows I'm pregnant, I'm 26 weeks. I've been trying to keep my feet up, drink a lot of water, and take it one day at a time.

My billable goal is 800 and luckily in the past couple of days, I've gotten several returns in and am starting to rack up some billable time. I've talked to my boss about possibly coming in on Sundays for 5 hours rather than working 12 hours a day through the week and working from home a bit in the evenings so that I can be more comfortable. It's been heck on my back to be in an office chair for 8-12 hours a day :-/

We planned LO to be a May baby so that we'd avoid a tax season baby but I severely underestimated how hard it'd be to be pregnant during tax season!

I really sympathise with this!

I was working on a big training project - designing and rolling out a full day training course to 600 staff (in groups of 15). The project was due to conclude around the time I am due to come back from maternity leave in 2014. When I announced that I was pregnant, my boss shuffled my workload and took me off a couple of other projects, asking me to just make sure I have finished rolling out the training by July, when I go on leave. It involves a lot of travel, a lot of staying in hotels. a lot of full days on my feet... it relentless! And I'm really not in the best shape for it right now!! I really just wanna crawl into bed and research baby gear!!!

@septemberlove: You poor thing. I worked for a Big 4 before becoming a SAHM, and I would have hated being pregnant during busy season :( Does anyone at work know you're pregnant?

@septemberlove: I was last year! I found out I was pregnant on January 1, when I was not quite 5 weeks along. It made for a rough first trimester, since I couldn't even tell anyone! I work for a Big 4, so was doing compliance and tax provision audit...traveling to clients, late nights in team rooms, etc. It was not fun!

@septemberlove: how flexible is your work? Can you prop your feet up and get a comfy chair? Maybe even a mini fridge so snacks and drinks are close by.

I was pregnant during the H1N1 flu season. It was pretty awful. I routinely was hitting 80 hour weeks and remember just working and sleeping for a period of time!

I'm not pregnant but I'm the same field. I was pregnant last year during busy season and it wasn't too bad but I had a very easy pregnancy. Do you have flexibility in where you can work your hours? This isn't what you want to hear, but it's easier to work now than once you have your baby, if you continue to work after baby. The only thing I can think of is logging in from home to put in extra hours.

Is anyone else in this boat? It's tax season and my billable goal is 800 but work has been slow to come in and I'm looking at 65+ hour weeks for the next 10 weeks :-/ I don't think I'm going to hit my goal.
