@Mrs. Goose: yep its easy to make tzatziki with plain greek yoghurt, but the garlic right now...eeeesh.

I just hate that feeling of knowing you need to eat something before you feel sick, but standing in front of the pantry and nothing looks good :/ I need to do a grocery shop but its cold and windy, and navigating the store with a bossy 3 year old just isn't going to happen (plus im still in pj's at 12.30)

@FannyMae: I am not sure if it is similar to chobani. I think that is an American brand. They have liberte here and a few others, but I just buy plain Costco brand. It doesn't have fruit or anything although they do sell a variety of styles and flavours. I buy plain unsweetened to keep my sugar intake lower and I also use it in dip or as sour cream for wraps and perogies so I like it the kind of sour way. Adding honey or maple syrup and a bit of vanilla extract make it quite tasty. I also read on another post someone suggested mixing plain Greek yoghurt with herbs to make a veggie dip.

Your lunch sounds good. You can always buy little mixed baggies of trail mix or nuts to snack on.

I keep hearing greek yoghurt, but I'm thinking you guys are talking about something different to what I know as greek yoghurt. @Mrs. Goose: when you say not too sugary, is it with fruit in it like chobani? I've always had greek yoghurt as nautral pot set yoghurt that is kinda tart, I don't think I could handle it right now.

I had a small early lunch - mini wholemeal wrap with tarama, a mini cucumber and baby carrot, a cheddar cheese stick and small can of tuna.

Some great ideas here! Lately I've been alternating between mac n cheese and pb&j sandwiches, but that's because of my food aversions.

My lunches are always pretty random. I'm a vegetarian and today I had plain greek yoghurt with a bit of maple syrup, a fruit salad I made, some rice crackers, and a garden veggie burger I cooked this morning. I had a carrot and red pepper with dip and the greek yoghurt for my after school snack because I work in an after school program. I bought some fake lunch meat and buns tonight, thinking I might make myself sandwiches for this week, but I typically try to avoid too much wheat because I think it doesn't agree with me.

The greek yoghurt is quite tasty and filling too. It's like a dessert that is not too sugary and it has lots of protein with whatever percentage of fat you buy it at.

I do a lot of leftover dinner during the week for lunch. Today I didn't have leftovers so I had cottage cheese, a banana, and some peanut butter on crackers. I have been snacking on carrots with Greek yogurt dip, grapes, and yogurt.

are you opposed to a turkey sandwich, carrots, and hummus? It's quick! I just know some people are anti lunch meat.

I just eat leftovers from dinner for the most part! I almost always make enough for us to nom on during the week.
