@sslm: @GreenThumb: Thanks for the information :) I have regular cycles too l so hopefully we can come to a quick solution as well! I am fairly nervous about the whole process but excited in the hopes that we can get some answers that will point us in the right direction. I told DH, on the bright side, he has the "fun" test :)

I think it depends a lot on how regular your cycles have been. Because I had totally regular cycles (~27-29 days) and all the signs of ovulation (egg white cervical mucus, positives on ovulation predictor kits, and sore boobs after ovulation) the Dr. knew I was ovulating and we bypassed blood work to check on my hormone levels. Instead, I was scheduled for an HSG to see if my tubes were open and DH had an SA. With those two tests, we had a quick diagnosis (unfortunately we both have issues) and are now on to IVF.

Here's a recent thread on HSGs (pretty common early on for fertility testing):

I wish you the best of luck with you appointment!

I think the first thing they'd probably do is a CD3 and CD21 bloodwork for you. The first tests a bunch of hormone levels, the second is supposed to be 7dpo to see if you are actually ovulating. After that I'm not sure because we're not at that point yet!

Good morning! Well, we are on the first day of cycle 10 and seeing as how I believe that seeing that 2nd pink line is now a myth for us and we have timed everything month after month, DH and I have decided to see my doctor. My question to all you wonderful people - what should I expect/ask for? My Ob/gyn said they can do SA. Will they do bloodwork? For both? Can anybody out there share their experiences?

Thank you all and hope everyone is having a great start to their Friday :)
