@Anya: Good to know! I will have to look into that one.

Yeah, my MW was super cool about it, she just said that since I just started back to hot yoga at the beginning of the year, it would be best to just do regular yoga until baby comes. Which makes sense--when I used to do Bikram they said it was safe to continue as long as you got pregnant 6 months or more into a regular practice. Good luck to you--I hope you can keep going!

@mfa_lady: I'm afraid mine is going to say the same thing! I'm still going to go tomorrow, but I'm going to take an easier stretching class that's not as hot instead of my regular power flow class.

I have "the perfect pregnancy workout" with Karyn steben which was recommended to me, though I haven't tried it yet

Hoping to get some good ideas from this thread! My midwife suggested I put a hold on the hot yoga classes during my pregnancy, so I'm looking for some good options. :)

@catlady: Oh I'm not looking for anything challenging so that sounds just right for me :-) And yes the in-person classes are killer!

@NorCalWayfarer: That's crazy that you took classes with Lee! I loved her on the DVD. She is a great teacher. Just an FYI, I have heard that the DVDs are not as difficult as the classes (I have never done one in person). When I was pregnant though, I thought the level of difficulty was just right for me. :)

@catlady: I do love Bar Method. I actually took classes with Lee when she was pregnant with her twins! That's a good idea to get the DVDs since they are so much cheaper than taking classes at the studio. Thanks!

I tried a bunch and the two that I used by far the most were the Bar Method pregnancy DVD and Slim and Toned Prenatal Barre workout. I was a huge Bar Method fan already though.

Can you recommend a good prenatal exercise DVD?

I try to do prenatal yoga 1-2 times a week at a local studio and go for walks. But I'm feeling like I need to rebuild some strength I've lost in the past 7 months. I'm not looking for a yoga video, but something that's a little more strength-building.

Thanks!
