I did my own leg and arm workouts at home, tried to prep my body for natural labor - squats, leg lifts, lunges, push-ups, etc. I think they have some guides in 'what to expect' book. Good luck and keep up the exercise!!

@JessLC: Check your local library - mine had a couple copies of Summer's DVD to check out.

@Goldilocks1107 and @joyjoy: thanks for all the recommendations!! i will take a look. I loved pilates before i got preggo, but then i felt weird about taking the classes because sometimes the moves felt uncomfortable. So prenatal pilates would be great, but i think i need to introduce some form of aerobics into my routine too.

@joyjoy: I really liked Summer Sanders' workouts. I did both the second and third trimester workouts (and they're all on one DVD).

The thing I liked best is that you go through the same routine twice, so if you're feeling extra tired, you can stop after the first round, but still get a full body workout. I checked it out from the library, and before I returned it, I wrote down the key movements and now I can do it on my own while watching my favorite TV shows. You need a resistance band OR light weights (3 lbs) and some pillows.

I'm with you--I totally hate the gym, but I love how I feel when I work out. I don't know if any of these are on netflix streaming, but I've been doing Kathy Smith's Prenatal Workout (just the aerobics), Prenatal Vinyasa Yoga Short Forms with Jennifer Wolfe, and 10 Minute Solutions Prenatal Pilates. I stuck with workouts that I normally did and just found well-rated prenatal versions of each. I generally have 30 minutes or less to workout each morning, and all three of these DVDs fit the bill for me. I should note that in my first trimester, these felt too easy, but now in the middle of my second trimester, they feel just right. The yoga in particular feels really good.

I've also heard good things about Summer Sander's Pregnancy Workout and The Perfect Prenatal Workout, but they were too long for what I was looking for.

I am trying to incorporate more exercise into my routine and I really hate going to the gym. On the weekends, I usually go for a long walk or a hike. But on the weeknights, I need something I can do from home. Does anybody have any recommendations on prenatal workout dvds? Bonus points if it is netflix streaming or youtube! Thanks in advance!
