@eiko2010: I'm doing the C25K program too! I just got my BFP yesterday and was planning on going to the gym tomorrow, but I'm also nervous. Do you think I should cut back and just go for a walk (or ride a bike) instead of full-on running?

I was in the middle of the Couch to 5K program when I got pregnant, and had to stop because I was a) nervous and b) tired. I want to get back into some kind of physical activity now that I'm approaching the 2nd trimester and feeling better, but I don't think I want to start running again. I bought a prenatal yoga DVD from Amazon that had good reviews (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00109KNA2/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00) so I'm going to give that a shot. And I'm considering joining a gym so that I can get some cardio in, too. I walk over a mile a day, but it's broken up into 2 0.8-mile walks, so it doesn't really get my heart rate up too much.

I continued to follow the same workout regimen during my pregnancy. The first trimester was super tough because I had a hard time catching my breath, but it got easier (or I expected less from myself!) going into the 2nd and 3rd trimesters. Personally, I wanted to maintain as much strength and fitness as I could to help with my recovery.

First trimester workouts are sooo hard. The lack of energy thing killed me. Walking the dogs, two laps around our mega mall, and gardening was pretty much the extent of my activity.

Second trimester is so much better - just signed up for a daily water Zumba class that starts soon. Everybody keeps telling me how much they loved the pool when pregnant, and water aerobics is really low impact, so I'm hoping I dig it. It'll be a good alternative to the elliptical.

I've done lots of yoga, but haven't tried prenatal specifically. It's on my list of things to check out.

I cut back a lot during the first trimester when I was dealing with morning sickness, it's definitely harder when you're pregnant!

Usually I go to the gym and do cardio and weights. I like weight training because it's great for keeping your body strong for birth!

bodyrock.tv is a free home workout website. They have a great variety of 15 minute workouts, including body weight exercises and yoga.

Since finding out I was pregnant I've been really un-active.... I was really active and was doing Insanity (an intense workout program) . It's way too hard to do because I get really tired doing it... So that being said I really want to start doing some more pregnancy friendly workouts.....

I was thinking about doing prenatal yoga?

Any one have any good suggestions on any workout videos?
Or recommend and gym classes geared toward pregnant women?
