At 10.5 months it might not be too bad - we took B to Vegas around that age and he was fine. He was still on 3 naps a day so we just adjusted naps and tried to make the best of it and go with the flow a little.

Another vote for we don't adjust bedtimes. Three hours isn't that bad. The most we've ever done is 9 and it took my LOs (20 months and 4.5 years at the time) about 5 days to get over it.

As for adjusting once you are at your destination, get outside as much as you can to get natural light. I also don't let them nap for more than 2 hours at a time the first few days (but 2 naps a day has been fine). Once they are more into the local schedule, napping goes back to normal.

By trying to adjust bedtimes pre-travel you are just expanding the potential widow for disastrous sleep.
I just go with it, and go with the flow once we get there.

I have never been able to adjust bedtimes when travelling over time zones, I just deal with crazy sleep and wake times.

We have never tried to move up/down bedtime in prep for travel. I try to book flights where I can adjust LO more easily on the first day if possible (like, overnight flights, early morning flights and then just keep her up until the normal bedtime hour in the new timezone, etc.)

We live on the west coast and will be traveling to Hawaii at the end of August so we will be 3 hours behind. My baby will be 10.5 months when we travel.

How far in advance should we be pushing back her bedtime? Do we try to adjust the full 3 hours before we leave? Any tips to adjusting?

We have tried pushing it back an hour which has thrown everything out of whack. I also feel like we are in a sleep regression/possible teething so everything is out of order right now. Thanks :)
