We upgraded to the Pottery Barn "small" (not PreK) bags for this reason. My girls are tiny (the oldest is 41 inches and 34 lbs at 5), yes, but I figured there's no point to a backpack if I still have to carry their junk by hand bc it doesn't fit. </p> <p>@2littlepumpkins: This, too! Some schools prefer not to deal with bags. Our preschool last year gave all the kind DD matching tote bags. She was even able to carry it herself with the lunchbox attached. Any smaller than that it a waste I think because you can't fit a folder or regular sized paper so everything would have to be smushed in. All of my kids are rather petite so I'm wondering if anyone has any backpack recommendations? They will just be going to half day preschool with lunch at home. I'm thinking the tiny backpacks we have for the twins will be ok, but maybe get something that will transition to kindergarten for my older one? Recommendations on something that lasts but not huge? </p>
