@looch: Brilliant idea! Now I'm wishing I snagged one in another shape (ours is tree-shaped).

We have the Mickey Mouse version of these lamps that are at Home Depot. They are wireless, rechargeable and soft so they are perfect for bed.

We have this one. This goes in his bed. It's LED, so cool to touch and auto shuts off after 20 minutes. He can turn it back on if he's not done. He reads his books to his stuffed animals after we tuck him in. :silly: Bonus, it is about ten dollars!

Any lamp, fitted with an LED bulb and a timer is a contender. We use the ones they sell around Christmas time, so my son can control the light without actually touching the lamp.

We have an orange lamp from ikea that DS uses and we also have a lantern he uses in bed that he can easily turn on & off while in bed. This is the lantern we have.

DD1 (almost 4) likes to read in her bed after bedtime. She usually does this even after lights out, which we're fine with. But I don't like her reading in the dark. DH gave her a flashlight. LOL But I'm thinking a lamp might be better.

Does your LO have a lamp in their room? Is it easy for them to turn off/on? Do you have a wall mount or table lamp?

DD1 has a beautiful stained glass lamp that her Nana made when I was pregnant with her. But I don't trust her with it just yet. Leaning towards a cheapie Ikea one for now.
