It's great to be able to look back on class pictures throughout the years. Although I always take pictures of her myself, there's just something special about comparing pictures taken in a similar way at exactly the same time each year. </p> <p>This year, the company tried to simplify their packages, which meant that you couldn't choose your sizes. But since it comes with a class photo and yearbook, it would be cheaper than buying the package, rather than buying individually. Then I keep one in a frame and put a wallet with DS’s school keepsakes. </p> <p>I like to see the progression and plan to purchase at least a few pictures for each year of school. I give one to each set of grandparents, and keep one to put up ourselves. The one last year from preschool was really cute, and we got to choose from a few options. The one from kindergarten this year is not great, he has a cheese face, not an authentic smile, and we only had one choice. I have usually bought the smallest package, which was one 4x6 individual, and one 5x7 class picture, and I was very happy. It was only $15 and they always came out so cute. So this year I got the next package up and it’s the first year I didn’t like the picture as much from the same photographer (my daughter wouldn’t smile, not his fault!). So this year I put a 5x7 of each kid in a frame, sent grandparents wallets, and stuck the rest on a shelf somewhere. It ends up being about $30. I got the grandmas nice silver frames the first year and now just send updated pictures. I scan one to put in our annual photo book. I give each set of grandparents a copy and our siblings (my kids aunts and uncles). On the years my oldest had a picture but my youngest did not (she was home with a nanny), I took my own pic of her and sent them out together. Those pictures were on everyone’s fridge for at least that year. I never want to buy them, but then they come home and I find them irresistibly cute. I usually buy a few, send them to the grandparents and put one up at work. I was thrilled when our elementary school said we had to preorder, so I just didn't send the form with her on picture day. </p> <p>I will say that my mom has every single school photo for both me and my sister framed and hanging on the stairway leading upstairs. We've had them before, last year, twice and they were nice but for some reason these are especially adorable (they did a really cute holiday background).</p> <p>Anyway, there are 3 poses and they are all nice. I'm tempted to purchase them all but then I'm not sure what I'd do with them? I know I could give some prints to family.... BUT they are just her not her and her brother. We just got family photos done and I was planning to use those for our Christmas cards so these individual photos of just DD probably won't go on the Christmas cards..... soo even though I want to buy them I can't rationalize it....... </p> <p>What do you do? </p>
