i've been experimenting with mine lately. it's a pressure cooker, a slow cooker, and a rice cooker (OMG i loooove it!), but i hadn't done much with the pressure cooking option until now. this week i threw frozen chicken breasts in with some chili powder, rice, water & a jar of salsa (inspired by @artbee: 's recipe for slow cooker salsa chicken!) and put it on high for 12 minutes.... the rice wasn't awesome to be honest, DH didn't seem to mind though, but the chicken was tastey & seriously it would have taken me longer just to thaw the chicken so it was a win in my book =D

I've used it solely for cooking unsoaked dry beans. Works great!

@Happygal: we just use water. We like our veggies super plain though. We rarely put anything other than a little sea salt (maybe) on them!
@Mrs. High Heels: that is a very informative post, thank you fir linking it! We need to step up our pressure cooking game...

@artbee: thanks for reviving this thread!

@MrsRoo: we'll have to try veggies. Do you use water or broth for cooking them?

@Mrs. High Heels: that's a great post. Can't believe I missed it! Definitely will take notes.

I don't really have any recipes (DH does most of the cooking), but we use ours all the time. Mostly for veggies because it cooks them perfectly, and sometimes for chicken because it cooks pretty fast and stays very moist. Ours came with a little instruction/recipe booklet that we use for reference when we want to cook something different than veggies.

We didn't register for one, but still received a pressure cooker when we got married. I want to use it more, so I'm looking for inspiration! Anyone use a pressure cooker and have great recipes or tips?
