@sorrycharlie: Yeah, I had preterm contractions (around 27 weeks) with my first, and then he had to kicked out at 41. I don't remember all this lower belly pressure from that time, but the tightness across the top and the back pain is kind of triggering something in the back of my mind.

I don't think it would hurt to be checked out. I had early contractions with my second daughter and she went to 38 weeks :)

I'm 23 weeks as of yesterday. I posted earlier today about needing a support belt because it feels like Babygirl is VERY low in my belly. Often when I feel her kick/move around, it's way down in my pelvis, beneath my belly. My belly has felt pretty heavy since this pregnancy started, and at times it's been uncomfortable. But today in particular, it feels very heavy down at the bottom, almost bordering on pressure with cramping. It also feels kind of tight across the top of my belly, but more like it's tight because it's being pulled down. I'm drinking water and trying to stay off my feet as much as possible (I'm at work, and my job requires me to be up and about going into patients' rooms). I've also had a headache since last night. And my back hurts.

Do I need to be concerned? I work in a hospital, and have thought about having one of the nurses check my BP. Should I call the OB or wait it out and see if it gets better?
