@pastemoo: well I can be on couch too : ) We have an awesome "chaise lounge" on the end of our couch where I can sit with my feet straight out and just my upper back slightly reclined. I have quite the set up in the living room right now : ) I think they'll feel more comfortable with me adding in more activity after I hit 32/33 wks.

Hey everyone!

I'm home now - they discharged me last night! My contractions were random/stable without meds and my dilation was still a "soft 1 cm" last evening - meaning a little more than 1, but less than 2, so stable. A little nerve wracking to be at home and monitoring my condition on my own, but I think once I'm home for a few days and the contractions don't pick up again, I'll feel much better. I still do have contractions, but they seem pretty random and nothing like what I was having before I was admitted to the hospital. I will probably need to stay on bedrest until 36-37 weeks, depending on how I do. The first few weeks will be pretty strict and then they might let me add in more activity.

It is really nice to be home though. I have "bathroom privileges" which means I really need to be reclined/laying and can get up to use the bathroom, get a drink, and can take a quick shower a day.

This is a complete 180 from my normal life so will take some getting used to. I should be able to work from home (maybe later this week....otherwise I might go bonkers). My husband has been absolutely amazing through this all. He's calm, positive, supportive, and taking great care of me. I feel very lucky.

31 weeks today! Crazy how I've gone back to counting every day (like first trimester).

Thanks to everyone for checking in despite your busy lives - it means so much!!

Hey guys - so we are "beta complete" meaning they lung shots they administered for baby winnie's lungs are now effective, so one less thing to worry about. He continues to do well and stay active (all the nurses comment on what a happy baby he is!). My contractions have really eased up and are only very sporadic right now - though I got mt last dose of contractions mess in the middle of the night and they will want to see how I react no no meds and whether I have any further cervical changes. Unfortunately i cant stay on contraction meds longer since have been in them since Wed night Optimistic for hospital discharge
this evening or tomorrow (Sunday).

Thanks for all of your support and much love from me, baby winnie, and papa Winnie.

Thanks so much to everyone - I am truly overwhelmed by the support of everyone here!! Thank goodness for hellobee : )

So we made it through another night and the shot to helpature baby w's lungs will be effective this evening and they will probably discharge me home tomorrow on bedrest under high risk care. The biggest thing is just getting to tonight. Then every day that goes by thereafter without this baby here will be a feat. My doctor talked of bedrest til like 35 weeks and I know I can do 4 weeks of bedrest for my little one (who is positioned very down, head against cervix and ready to GO!)

Still no idea what caused these contractions or how I went from an "easy" pregnancy to this.

I do have to say one thing - trust your instincts and do not be hesitant to call your doctor for fear of being a pain in the butt patient. I felt like my "braxton hicks contractions" were out of the ordinary, and I was right.

Thanks again and I will continue to keep you posted.

This whole experience has been so eye opening in every way.

oh hon that's so scary... at only 30 weeks! I hope everything works itself out. I was on bedrest, if you remember, but only for like a week. If you end up on bedrest for two months that is quite the feat! Try doing arm/leg circles and a little bit of intentional movement in bed so that your don't develop muscular atrophy. That is one of the most painful after-effects of bedrest I've heard.
Sending you lots of love and hugs! Keep cooking lil baby!!

Oh no! I'm glad you're in the hospital and they're doing everything they can to keep you from going into full-on labor (but also prepping baby boy in case he decides to make his debut early). Fingers crossed and I'll be watching for updates. It seems like just yesterday when we were hanging out on the TTC boards waiting for our BFPs.
