We just took the tab, and held it on the inside of her cheek with a finger. It dissolved rather quickly, and we had no issues that way.

This might sound complicated but...
We filled a syringe (Tylenol one seem to have a little wider spout) with the water and put the tab in a little cap; then we squirted the water in the cap. We sucked up all the water and meds. We would give a little squirt and then flick the side of the syringe to get more meds right over the spout part. Repeat until all the water/meds are gone. There was usually a tiny but of powder left, but we perfected the flick technique pretty quickly!

It sounds like our dosage is a little different, but this is what we do for DS (10.5 weeks old) per our dr's instructions. We dissolve one tab in 5 ml of water in a small bottle. I think it's 25 ml or something similar. The 5 ml mark is still pretty low on that tiny bottle though. We swish it around until it's dissolved. Then we draw up half of that (2.5 ml) in a little syringe I had leftover from IVF meds (no needle on it of course, just a blunt tip). For a while we just emptied the syringe into his mouth but he was spitting it out or it would dribble out the sides. So we ordered a munchkin medicine pacifier. So now we empty the 2.5 ml into the medicine dispensing pacifier and he sucks it righty down. Because I was worried a little would get stuck in the dispenser, I usually fill it just a touch past the 2.5 ml mark.

Quick question...for those who gave their LO prevacid, how did you give it? Our ped told us to just take the solutab with 2 mL of water and then give it that way. However, a lot of the medication was still like in the syringe and sticking to the sides. Any tips?
