There is another homeopathic remedy called Camilla, made by Boiron. It's a liquid, and dd actually really likes sucking it out of the tube. It includes an ingredient for stomach upset related to teething too, which seems to be helpful for my kids. I'm willing to give the homeopathic treatments more generously than the tylenol, since I find them gentler on the system and I don't have to worry about overdosing.

And when we give tylenol we usually start with the smallest dose to see if that's enough, and if they are still cranky, add another. For example, my kids are 18.5 lbs and we always start with the 1.25 ml dose unless they really seem to be in pain, then we do the 2.5 ml (for their size, the full dose is 3.75). That way, I don't feel like I'm overmedicating them when they have long stretches of teething pain.

I actually got the suggestion from another thread a few months back but Boiron Camilia teething relief helps with DD's teething. I give it to her before bed if I know she's having a rough time and also during day if I see it's bothering her. Yesterday I gave it to DD 4 times total and it really seemed to help calm her down. Hope this helps!

I can see the whites of DS's bottom teeth popping through but it seems like they've been almost popping through his gums for a month now! He will periodically start screaming and then be fine and I'm chalking it up to teething pain.

I'll give him teething tablets before he goes to sleep at night and a little infant tylenol, but i hate to give too much. at the same time, i hate to wait until it's too late and he's already in pain and screaming his head off!

he loveeeees his sophie, but won't take a teether or frozen washcloth.

any advice? (and i read the teething guide of course :-))
