They are also moving to a different area by fall and since they aren’t local to me, I’m not sure which areas are close to them. </p> <p>We have magnatiles too but my son only started playing with it recently and he’s two. We had a small one in our 9 foot wide rowhouse and it was definitely worth the footprint. The IKEA one is also pretty compact. </p> <p>My 3 year old loves magnatiles but they are definitely a gift to grow into. At one my daughter LOVED her Tegu blocks, which are wonderful and you can stick to the refrigerator to keep out of the way. A Brio train set would also be a good thing for a one year old to grow into. </p> <p>I also love the idea of a museum membership somewhere- we get a lot of use out of ours, especially when we lived in a small space.
