I usually print them at Office Depot or Kinkos or similar for heavier weight paper options, etc. Cost is usually pretty minimal.

@sunny: I've always been charged pretty minimally for ours. Not sure it is was per cut or not but with 8 bucks for 25 invites I know it couldn't be much. lol

The college here where we've printed at as well chargers a flat $5 or $10 rate for cutting depending on job size.

Oh BTW - I believe that most office stores charge "per cut". So if you are trimming edges off 4 sides, they might charge you 4 cuts -- so it adds up.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think in general if something is to be bled to the edge, I think you need to have it printed on a piece of paper larger than what it is supposed to be, then cut it to the bleed line. I don't think press printing (e.g. on card stock) really has edgeless printing... though I could be wrong.

I printed a bunch of stuff on my home printer for my friend's baby shower and it turned out GREAT. It didn't look 100% professional like the wedding thank you cards I ordered from a print shop, but they looked really good.

I always take that kind of stuff to be printed at Office Max. Looks a lot better than when I try to do it at home. Additionally, you don't waste your ink that way.

@kentuckygirl: Not sure the size you needed but they couldn't print the image on larger sheets & cut it to size? Lots of printing places I know don't print to the bleed line, having nothing to do with how the image is set up.... I've always gotten around that by asking they printing on tabloid sheets.

@MrsTiz: I forgot to add that for P's invites I got 25 double sided invites for about 8 bucks.

Just take it to a print shop like Kinkos or office max. You can provide the paper or pick from their selection.

I just printed some at FedEx. I was disappointed with the design/seller. When I went to have it printed the clerk told me that the design didn't bleed (go all the way to the edge). I should have verified that but just expected it since it was pictured that way.) the seller had suggested photo prints & I guess if I had done that it would have bled to the edge but I wanted it on card stock.

We have a local print store (Target Copy) kinda like a kinkos. You can either have them provide the paper, or you can buy nice card stock and bring it to them. You send them or bring them the electronic file and have them print what you need.

You certainly can do it at home (with a nice printer and nice paper) but for me its always been easier to have the print shop do them.

I do all our printing at the UPS store. I've also been happy with the quality & their prices are way better than Office Depot/Max & kinkos!

Probably a silly question, but I'm looking on Etsy for shower invites (my sister and SIL screwed them up royally for my bridal shower so I volunteered to handle them this time) and 90% of what I like are printables. I have never bought a printable before so i'm confused.

Where do you print them at? At home?? I have a printer but I think they would look cheapy and want them more professional..can you print them at Walgreens or somewhere?

anyone have any advice/do's/don't's for me?
