No apology, just "didn't you get my email? I've been sick and moving so I didn't have internet."</p> <p>She said they'd be ready Sunday.. Well, it's Tuesday and still no pics! BUT as a photographer, i try to answer emails promptly (within 48 hours at the longest M-F) and if I don't have your images yet, I would let you know ASAP and give you a new date to expect your images.</p> <p>I wouldn't write her again as you've written and called this week, but on Monday morning if there is still no reply or you haven't seen any images, then write her checking in and request a reply within 48 hours.</p> <p>Do you know anyone else that did a session with her? Anyone that knows her personally? Hope you get a response and your images! I'm also a photog (part time at the moment) and this fall has been NUTS. I am booking multiple sessions a day anywhere I can fit them in. I've personally been extremely overwhelmed with keeping up with editing and responding to clients and responding to new clients trying to book me. </p> <p>That being said, it is unprofessional not to respond to you. I have a 24 hr rule for emails and I also always try to meet my editing goals that I tell clients. I know photographers are super super busy around this time of year (Everyone wants holiday pics) so she probably just doesn't have your pictures done yet, I don't think you were scammed. But I would def tell her you are unhappy with her not answering your emails and see if she can offer any type of apology or throw in some free print credits or something. The photog said the files would be ready in 2 weeks (last Saturday). I emailed her Sat night to check, and didn't get a response.. I emailed again on Tuesday night, no response. Both emails were very friendly-- "hope you're well; just wondering, could you please lmk the status? :)" etc.</p> <p>I decided to call her this morning but no one picked up. Left a voicemail.</p> <p>What the heck???!! I'm getting frustrated because #1, I really want the photos so I can hurry up and get my holiday cards printed, and #2, because I really wanted to like this photog and hoped to use her regularly in the future (affordable, aligned to my style, local) </p> <p>I don't want to be the crazy client that bugs her but how can she simply not reply to emails/calls?? I've already paid in full for the session (PayPal). </p> <p>She is not a random photog I found online. She actually came to my LO's daycare last year (large center) to do portraits. We purchased thru an online site and had no problem, though we didn't really interact with her directly since it was just a pay per image thing. For the mini shoot, I emailed her via her blog and she was very responsive/accommodating. I know she has other clients too because I saw the family that was next in line the day of our shoot.</p> <p>I want to give her the benefit of the doubt but should I just call it a day and file a complaint to hopefully get my money back? Give her another week? Ugh!!</p> <p>Am I being scammed or maybe something has gone wrong in her personal life?
