I don't know about the episiotomy, but the BM bleeding could be due to an internal hemorrhoid. I'm pretty familiar with those... :)

Happened to me, too - sunny side up, vacuum & episiotomy. DS is 11 months old and while it doesn't necessarily hurt, I'm hyper-aware of the scar, especially while exercising. I saw my doctor today and she suggested physical therapy. She says sometimes while healing your muscles clench up and tighten to where you need to relearn how to relax them. I'm calling to make my first appointment tomorrow.
I would definitely call. Though it might never be the same, it shouldn't always be painful.

DH is understanding but I feel like I'm being a wuss! It almost burns where the scar is and I just can't get into it.

I had one also and have had zero pain since it healed. I think you should call.

I don't have any advice but that thread got me wondering if I should also put a call into my dr too! I am 8 months pp and still have so much pain when we dtd. So much so, that we have only done it a handful of times.

Now I'm curious after reading the episiotomy thread and highwires blog link was really interesting.

i had a natural birth with an episiotomy after LO was stuck under my pubic bone, I had been pushing for over an hour with a precipitous birth, my oxygen was dropping and the baby was in distress--had an internal fetal monitor placed, he was born sunny side up with the cord around his neck and ended up having to be vacuumed out.

has anyone else had postpartum problems with their episiotomy? the scar is killing me...DTD is NOT the same and I almost feel like it never will be. I am still bleeding with a BM bright red blood and I think is a result of the episiotomy...I feel fine but those two things kind of have been making me think after reading the thread if I should call my doctor.
